What is the ''Daily Reflections'' in Childcare

In Australia, most childcare centres use mobile applications specifically designed for early childhood services to communicate with families. These platforms allow families and educators to communicate easily and efficiently.
Through these applications, many childcare centres share updates known as “daily reflections.” These reflections provide families with information about what children have done during the day, the activities they participated in, and often include photographs documenting their experiences.
Additionally, these platforms are used to inform families about daily routines and care. For example, families can see how much their child has eaten at each meal, as well as other care information such as nappy change times for younger children and the duration of their sleep or rest periods during the day.
I would also like to highlight an important point: the use of personal electronic devices (such as mobile phones or smart watches) is strictly prohibited in childcare centres. For this reason, the daily reflections are prepared using devices that are provided by the centre specifically for educators.
